Part of the oily adventure that can be so much fun can be that you get to create your own fun DIY’s with your essential oils. You are in charge of what you put in and what you leave out (cough cough chemicals ;) )

There are endless things that you can make for your home but some of the easiest DIY’s are sprays and rollers.

The sprays are simple and fun to create and create a nice self-care routine. Essential oils really do fit into your daily lifestyle to support your mind, body, and spirit.

Drops:

Depending on you and your comfort level I would use this as a guide for how many drops of oils to use.

In the recipes above the oils, I listed first would be the oils I would add more drops to your blend and less going down the list.

As a rule of thumb, less is more and going slow and steady. Sprays for baby blankets and kids I would less / fewer drops.

  • 16 oz bottle use 10-15 drops each

  • 8 oz bottle use 5- 8 drops each

  • 4 oz bottle use 2- 4 drops each

  • 1 oz bottle use 1- 3 drops each

Bottles I love:

Clear Frosted Bottles

Blue Bottles

Whimsy Wellness Bottles

Things to consider

  • Boil your bottle and spray to clean and kill any bacterial

  • Use filtered water or boiled water to avoid bacteria mixed into your spray

  • citrus oils used in sprays or rollers need caution after applied to the skin and going out in direct sunlight as they can be photosensitive

  • If you have sensitive skin, test a small patch of your skin before applying to a larger area

  • Avoid eyes

  • when in doubt dilute
