Described as the Most Epic Wedding Ever!

Umm, can someone pinch me and tell me how the wedding that was described as “the most epic wedding that they have ever been to”, “a wedding that will be remembered for a lifetime”, a wedding that happened 5 years ago!

here is a funny story: 5 years ago I was on the beach, toes in the sand and completely in awe of that moment. It was probably the most mindful I have ever been in my life. I was holding Shawn’s hands, I could hear the waves rolling in and rolling out, and I looked to the rows of our beloved family and friends watching me. And then hearing…”Ummm Darrien!” As the marriage commissioner encourages me to speak my line of our vows! “UGH WHAT did you say!?” I choked and laughed and everyone laughed with me!

I was so in the moment I didn’t hear what I was supposed to say and then I caught a case of the giggles for the rest of the ceremony!

How was that moment 5 years ago!

It was such an experience travelling to Hong Kong and then to Thailand and spending the month adventuring! We learned so much on that trip and I am in awe of the opportunities and leaps we have taken!

We chose to get married in Thailand because that was the next travel destination we wanted to scratch off the map. We wanted somewhere amazing and in my heart, I knew Thailand! Probably because I have read, listened and watch the movie “The Beach” a billion times! And some of my favourite movies are filmed in Thailand.

Ok back to the best day of my life!

Here is the video I created for Shawn on our five year wedding anniversary a few days ago! I thought I would share with you a video slideshow of some of the moments of our wedding. Our wedding was jam-packed with epic things I don’t even know how it was all done in just like 6 hours! But Shawn and I have many years ahead of us so we have lots of time to share more video and leak more photos.
